Quote of the day
“Where does it all start but with a child and a dollar?” – Jim Rohn
I am grateful for:
The opportunity to set aside money for our future and the future of my family.
What did I discover new about myself?
Unlike most other people, I actually get really excited at the thought of decreasing my liability and increasing my assets. In other words, paying off debt is a valid goal for me because it really drives me forward.
Now that I know, it’s something that I will be utilising to increase my likelihood of success. 🙂
What was the best thing that happened to me today?
Completing my to-do list.
I put so many tasks on my list last night that I felt a twinge of fear.
Maybe I won’t have the time?
Maybe I’m setting myself up to fail today.
My mindset is important and I’ve been known to get burnt out precisely because I’ve been unable to let go of needing to complete multiple big tasks a day.
But actually, I needn’t have worried.
Today, I managed to write two journal entries for the past two days and majorly update a self-care post on Live A Blissful Life before Little Son woke up.
I managed to republish said post complete with pins by the time the day ended.
Exhausting but fulfilling.
This reminds me of when I was working as Guest Admin on the Mariner of the Seas and the Voyager of the Seas – just hunker down and do it.
What or who made today unforgettable?
LS – who was so excited to go to the bank and then as soon as we sat down to do the boring but obviously necessary paperwork, asked if we were finished yet.
Ah, to be a child again!
3 amazing things that happened today
1. I found a book on making £1 meals a day. This will definitely be well-used in our house. It’s vegetarian too so as long as I throw some meat in once in a while for my husband, I think this will really work for us. Cheaper and healthier – what’s not to like?
2. Thanks to the sales, my husband was able to get 2 brand new and badly needed pairs of jeans for a fraction of the retail price.
3. I ticked all the big tasks off my to-do list today, which is really pretty amazing.
How much stress did I experience?
I’m running on close to empty with a lot of late nights and early mornings, which is why as soon as I’m done with this post, I’m gonna have a bit of breakfast and a nap.
Did I do something that was out my comfort zone?
Yes, I opened a bank account in branch.
Believe it or not, the last time I did that was when I first moved to the UK 7 years ago.
What can I do better tomorrow?
Make sure I get lots of sleep.
Create new pins.
Choose posts I need to update.
Have a helluva lot of fun!
